Somaliland users must select Somalia, which misrepresents our identity. Somaliland has been independent, democratic, and stable for over three decades.

This exclusion blocks account verification and limits Somalilanders' ability to fully use X for personal, business, journalistic, or civic purposes.

Somaliland has one of East Africa’s most active X communities. Citizens use X to connect globally, promote trade, and amplify our voice.

We respectfully urge you to instruct your team to add the Republic of Somaliland as a supported country in the X identity verification system, ensuring fairness and digital inclusion. We are prepared to collaborate with your team to provide any needed information or contacts to facilitate this process.

Recognizing Somaliland would empower citizens and show X’s commitment to real communities.
